Mohanlal’s '1971 Beyond Borders' Malayalam Movie New Posters

Mohanlal is currently shooting for Major Ravi’s 1971 Beyond Borders, a film based on the 1971 Indo-Pak war. After an intense first look, the makers released the official teaser today on March 2nd, 2017. From the teaser we came to know, the film is set in two time periods where Mohanlal will play two characters – Colonel Mahadevan and his father – Major Sahadevan. We can see both characters in the teaser. This film is the fourth part of the Mahadevan series. This time, the film will concentrate on a friendship forged during the war. It will be more  about the individuals than the war itself. The film stars Asha Sarath, Allu Sirish, who happens to be making his Malayalam debut and Bollywood actor Arunoday Singh who plays a Pakistani Official. The team has been shooting extensively across Kerala and Rajasthan. They will soon head to Morocco for a few shoot scenes.

Mohanlal was recently seen in Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, starring Meena, his Drishyam co-star. The movie has completed 50 days the BO as of now. Ever since its release, the movie has opened to positive reviews. It even raced ahead of Dulquer’s Jomonte Suvisheshangal at the BO and managed to rake in a decent collection.

Mohanlal had a grand 2016 with three hits to his credit – Oppam, Janatha Garage and most importantly Pulimurugan. His film with Vysakh created history as it became the first Malayalam to cross Rs 100 crore mark. His blind act in Oppam also won him praise. As for Janatha Garage, the movie managed to rake in Rs 100 crore within 5 days.
