Malayalam actor and son of veteran South actor Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan is all set to make his debut in Bollywood with Ronnie Screwvala’s Karwaan (which also stars Irrfan Khan, and Youtube sensation, Mithila Palkar) is a known fact. Well, the actor, after delivering hits like Mani Ratnam’s O Kadhal Kanmani, Anjali Menon’s Bangalore Days and Martin Prakkat’s Charlie which was hailed to the core, will also be seen sharing screen space with Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor.

Yes, you heard it right. Dulquer has given his nod to a Sonam Kapoor-starrer, a screen adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s 2008 novel The Zoya Factor. A source revealed that, “It’s an interesting character and Dulquer has liked the script. While he has committed to the project he is yet to sign on the dotted line.” Even Sonam Kapoor had confirmed the news (in August). The actress had taken to her micro-blogging site to announce that she is a part of the film. “Super excited to work with amazing sister duo, Aarti and Pooja Shetty, with the brilliant Abhishek Sharma on Anuja Chauhan’s Zoya factor (sic),” tweeted the actress.

Rucha Pathak of Fox Star Studios, who is producing the film, did not deny the news but said, “We are yet to finalise the cast and will soon make the announcement, The Zoya Factor is expected to roll sometime in March-April.”

On the professional front, Dulquer was last seen in Malayalam-Tamil film ‘Solo’, helmed by Bejoy Nambiar and Malayalam film ‘Parava’ by Soubin Shahir. The actor will be next seen in Karwaan alongside Kriti Kharbanda, who would be essaying the love interest of the South Indian heartthrob. On the other hand, Sonam Kapoor is on a promotional spree. The actress is currently busy with R Balki’s Pad Man, which stars Akshay Kumar in a titular role. Sonam will also be seen in Veere Di Wedding, which also features Kareena Kapoor.
