I felt so bad and unfortunate for missing Arjun Reddy : Parvatii Nair
Arjun Reddy was one of the riveting films that was made in Tollywood in the year 2017 which also witnessed films like Baahubali: The Conclusion hitting the marquee. However, Arjun Reddy left Telugu audiences with a hangover with its raw and realistic narration about a young medico going through a breakup and has drinking and anger management issues. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Arjun Reddy was one of the most profitable films of 2017 and was also the director’s debut movie. The script of Arjun Reddy was narrated to many actors including Sharwanand however, it was not accepted by the stars for reasons best known to them. The latest actor to regret the decision of letting the film go is Tamil actress Parvatii Nair. Reports reveal that Parvatii was offered the lead actress role in the film which is played by Shalini Pandey in the film, however, Parvatii rejected the role due to apprehensions about the newcomer and the genre of the film.
Parvatii, in a recent interview, had said that she thought that the film would be a simple romantic story and wouldn’t have much to offer, however, she was proven wrong after the film hit the screens. “But, when I saw the film in a theatre, I felt so bad and unfortunate for missing it. One must give full credit to director Sandeep for converting a simple love story into a genuinely impactful film. The presentation was so well that I just fell in love with the film,” Parvatii told.
Parvatii also admitted that she had rejected Aruvi too which was one of the patah-breaking films in Tamil cinema in 2017. The lead role was played by Aditi Balan and the young actor received huge accolades from all around including the critics. Aruvi was also one of the surprising hits of Tamil cinema in 2017 and was a profitable one too.
